Beesting is an audio plugin development consultancy, specializing solely in audio plugins.

We started in 2019 as a research group, exploring collaborative AI music systems, new computer languages for composition, and audio synthesis in Virtual Reality. In 2022 we started to take our knowledge and partner with others to bring their audio plugin ideas to market. Since then, we’ve delivered everything from top class real-time vocal pitch correction plugins to massive instrumental multi-samplers, as well as various reverb, delay, vocal processing and convolution effects. Today, we balance our cutting-edge research with industry collaborations, helping creators transform their ideas into powerful and beautiful audio plugins.

How long does it take to develop a plugin?

Project timelines vary depending on complexity. Typically, it takes about 3 months once final designs are approved, allowing ample time for programming, QA, and optimization for VST3, AAX and AU formats.

How much does it cost to develop a plugin?

Costs vary based on the scope of your project. Simpler plugins are cheaper, while more complex plugins take more time and effort. Reach out for a personalized estimate, we’re happy to guide you through the options.

Can my plugin use ARA?

ARA is an interesting technology, but it may not always behave as expected. We’re happy to discuss its potential for your project and advise on whether it’s suitable for your goals.

Will my plugin run in all DAWs?

Yes — we develop VST3, AU, and AAX plugins for both Mac (Intel and Silicon) and Windows. Every DAW has its quirks, but our audio programmers ensure your plugin performs flawlessly across modern digital audio and music production setups.

What are your payment models?

We usually work on a milestone-based billing system, invoicing for completed stages of the project. Payment plans are sometimes available. Occasionally, we might consider a partnership on a project, but this is rare. Contact us to discuss the best approach for your idea.
